Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  1. Building Customer Relationships: Establish and nurture strong connections with key customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues promptly.

  3. Supporting Account Start-ups: Collaborate with the sales team to ensure all necessary documentation and information are ready for smooth account setups.
  4. Ensuring Compliance: Conduct weekly audits of files to ensure compliance with estimates, profit margins, and timely invoicing.
  5. Handling Daily Client Requests: Assist clients with their day-to-day requests regarding export and import documentation, ensuring accurate execution for transportation files.
  6. Providing Shipping Details: Keep clients informed with complete flight and sailing details to guarantee seamless communication.
  7. Liaising with Transportation Partners: Work closely with airlines and ocean lines to secure the best capacity and cost solutions for transportation.
  8. Coordinating with Team Members: Collaborate with internal networks and external partner agents to ensure top-notch service.
  9. Responding to Emergencies: Act swiftly in emergency situations related to air and ocean freight files.
  10. Supporting Operations: Collaborate with operations colleagues to provide assistance during busy periods.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in Freight Forwarding Operations and Customer Service. Experience in freight forwarding is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including best practices and market trends.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, carriers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and pay close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all operations.
  • Computer Proficiency: Intermediate skills in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Agility: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
