Responsibilities
- Manage the fire alarm detection maintenance program for facilities, ensuring systems are maintained and functional.
- Develop a comprehensive maintenance, test, and inspection program in compliance with DOD and NFPA regulations.
- Create scopes of work for system repairs, maintenance, or expansions of fire alarm systems.
- Oversee the repair, maintenance, or expansion of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with current NFPA standards and the National Electrical Code.
- Plan and direct the workload of lead alarm technicians, performing quality assurance checks and providing written reports to fire management.
- Supervise and document acceptance testing of fire alarm systems.
- Coordinate work schedules and requirements with supervisors, scheduling appointments for testing, repair, and maintenance of fire alarm systems with facility custodians.
- Supervise employees or subcontractor personnel as directed by management, in accordance with supervisory duties.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a Secret Security Clearance.
- NICET Level II certification in fire alarm systems is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in fire alarm system maintenance, testing, and management.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, the National Electrical Code, and DOD regulations.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing large-scale maintenance programs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Automated Information Systems (AIS).
- Previous experience in a similar role within a government or military setting.
