EMEA Communications Business Partner

Aon, a global leader in risk management and human capital solutions, is seeking an experienced EMEA Communications Business Partner to join our communications team. In this role, you will develop and execute effective communications strategies that support the region’s growth initiatives, business goals, and people-focused priorities. You will be a key partner to senior leaders and project teams across the region, helping to shape and deliver impactful communications that drive business success and align with Aon’s global vision.

Responsibilities

As the EMEA Communications Business Partner, your role will focus on three main areas:

  1. Colleague Experience Communications:
    • Engage employees across the EMEA region by creating compelling, inclusive communications that enhance the overall colleague experience.
  2. Commercial Function Communications:
    • Collaborate with senior executives to develop and deliver messaging that strengthens colleagues’ understanding of commercial objectives and aligns with Aon’s business goals.
  3. Internal Communications Network:
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal communicators across the region, ensuring they have access to relevant content and best practices to drive consistency and clarity in messaging.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  • Support and manage a range of internal events such as town halls, leadership events, and regional/global initiatives.
  • Produce engaging communication content across multiple platforms, including written content, videos, intranet posts, and social media.
  • Provide external communication support (press releases, social media) as needed.
  • Regularly measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and make adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that Aon’s diversity, equity, and inclusion messaging is integrated across all communication activities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • Experience: A proven track record of several years in communications, ideally in a large, complex, or multinational organization.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to create engaging content for various formats (written, video, face-to-face, etc.).
    • Strong storytelling abilities and a clear understanding of how to craft messages that resonate with different audiences.
    • Experience working directly with senior executives and managing stakeholder relationships.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • An understanding of both internal and external communications, with experience in delivering impactful campaigns across different channels.
  • Education: A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • A collaborative mindset, with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.
