The American University of the Middle East (AUM), a leading private university in Kuwait, is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Preparatory Program Instructor to join its College of Engineering and Technology (CoET). This full-time position is set to commence in the Fall 2024 Semester. Key Responsibilities
- Instruction: Prepare and deliver engaging English language courses to students, enhancing their skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Material Development: Create and update teaching materials, assessments, quizzes, and exams to support course objectives.
- Student Support: Monitor, evaluate, and mentor students’ academic progress while guiding them in projects and class activities.
- Collaborative Engagement: Participate in departmental meetings, college-wide activities, and strategic initiatives to promote AUM’s growth and development.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with best practices in ESL education.
Requirements
- Education: A Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Linguistics, English Literature, or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Certification: CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or any other recognized ESL teaching certificate is preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrable skills in oral and written English, with the ability to thrive in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
