We are seeking a dynamic IKEA Food Manager to join our team in Kuwait. You will play a key role in ensuring food safety, driving commerciality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in our store’s food and restaurant areas.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize food safety across all areas of the store.
  • Contribute to the store business plan using the IKEA Food Direction & Strategy as input.
  • Develop and implement a clear IKEA Food action plan with your team, ensuring regular follow-ups.
  • Implement the range matrix (global and national) to secure a distinct IKEA Food range identity in the market.
  • Collaborate with the Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) and Commercial Activity teams to support marketing and in-store events.
  • Drive volume according to commercial priorities to offer the IKEA food range at the lowest total cost.
  • Maximize commerciality and profitability to grow sales and conversion rates.
  • Use the IKEA Restaurant & Café to inspire guests with engaging activities and Swedish traditions.
  • Monitor and manage food waste and shortages to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure the store maintains conceptual and commercial standards to support growth.
  • Stay updated on local market competition to keep IKEA Food ahead.
  • Leverage IKEA Food as a key marketing tool to maximize the store’s sales potential.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree, Hotel Management diploma, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a managerial role within the food industry, with proven track records.
  • HACCP Certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with an excellent command of English.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong work relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost-consciousness and achieving targets.
