Alghanim Industries is seeking a strategic leader to join Enaya’s Property and Casualty (P&C) division as the Manager. This pivotal role involves designing and implementing underwriting strategies aimed at driving retention and profitable growth within Enaya’s premium portfolio. You will lead and manage underwriters and claims teams across both retail and corporate sectors, ensuring exceptional service and strong distributor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Direction:
- Provide strategic leadership to position Enaya as a leading provider of P&C insurance in the marketplace.
- Guide the development and execution of Enaya’s strategic underwriting directives to enhance retention and profitability.
- Business Development:
- Actively engage in retail and corporate initiatives to develop existing and new lines of business.
- Build and maintain strong distributor relationships and develop a market-facing underwriting team.
- Opportunity Identification:
- Identify new business opportunities, conduct competitive market and pricing research, and perform coverage analysis.
- Provide Enaya’s management team with direction and guidance on achieving growth and profitability targets.
- Team Development:
- Obtain profitable results through the underwriting and claims teams by fostering motivation, counseling, skills development, and product knowledge.
- Operational Excellence:
- Monitor the performance of third-party loss adjusters through regular audits and reports.
- Plan and implement all regulatory reporting and compliance, including reinsurance arrangements.
- Data Analytics and Risk Management:
- Lead data analytics efforts, conduct risk management, and oversee actuarial reviews.
Candidate Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with Engineering or Mathematics as one of the subjects.
- Insurance certification (e.g., ACII or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Over 10 years of insurance experience in underwriting and claims management of P&C insurance products within a leading insurance company.
- Proven track record in senior management and leadership roles, with demonstrated success in developing business relationships at a national corporate level.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with data analytics and the ability to set agendas for actuarial reviews.
- Strong management, leadership, and marketing skills, with a hands-on approach to business development.
- Flexibility:
- Willingness to travel as required to meet retail and corporate mandates.
- Local or GCC experience is a significant advantage.
