Senior Accountant (Bilingual: English and Arabic)

Kuwait Jobs is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong bilingual (English and Arabic) skills. This role is ideal for candidates with 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, who have a proven track record of handling complex financial tasks, including audits, general ledger management, and ERP systems. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, contributing to critical decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate month-end financial records by reviewing and examining all financial statements.
• Lead the annual external audit process, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Prepare general ledger and closing reports, entering detailed transaction data.
• Provide accurate financial assessments to assist top-level management in making informed business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with standard laws and regulations by monitoring, updating, and maintaining fiscal activities.
• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, journal entries, and fixed asset accounting.
• Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts as part of monthly close processes.
• Support financial reporting and assist with ERP system operations (Microsoft ERP is an advantage).
• Handle a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA, or ACA are preferred but not required.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP software (Odoo or Microsoft).
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
