A leading retail company in Kuwait is seeking a skilled and analytical Sr. Product Analyst / Sr. Merchandiser to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Business Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive business plans for product lines, including phasing and reforecasting.
- Merchandising Oversight: Oversee merchandising activities and retail buying while ensuring compliance with brand standards at the departmental level.
- Data Analysis: Provide detailed, data-driven recommendations for new product initiatives and enhancements based on market trends.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports and track financial performance, offering insights for improvement.
- Merchandise Financial Plans: Coordinate the development, execution, and communication of Merchandise Financial Plans across departments.
- Stock Management: Manage stock mix in accordance with budget and trend analysis to optimize inventory levels.
- Inventory Productivity: Analyze inventory productivity at category, store, and brand levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess.
- Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast sales and margins for various product lines to support strategic decision-making.
- Seasonal Analysis: Prepare seasonal analysis reports, including sales plans, product phasing, and actionable recommendations for future planning.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in merchandising, retail buying, and business planning is essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, especially in inventory management, sales forecasting, and margin planning.
- Data-Driven: Ability to conduct trend analysis and provide actionable insights based on data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
- Financial Acumen: Familiarity with retail financial management, including P&L reporting and merchandise financial planning.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to forecast trends and optimize stock levels effectively.
- Visa: Must have a transferable residency visa.
- Availability: Candidates should be ready to join immediately or within a short notice period.
