SPERTON is seeking a skilled Tireman to join our Heavy Equipment Workshop team. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in tire maintenance and repair, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our heavy equipment vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Tire Maintenance: Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle tires, including fitting new tires and ensuring proper tire pressure.
- Wheel Alignment: Check and adjust vehicle tires and wheels using both electronic and manual equipment.
- Defect Inspection: Thoroughly inspect tires for any defects or irregularities that could impact vehicle safety or performance.
- Equipment Handling: Safely handle and operate all tools and machinery associated with tire maintenance and repair.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all tire inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members in a high-pressure environment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a Heavy Equipment workshop as a Tireman.
- Education: High School diploma or Technical trade certificate.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic and manual tire equipment.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting.
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment under high-pressure situations.
