Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including storage, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and documentation preparation.
- Utilize the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) for real-time inventory updates and data management.
- Conduct and monitor inventories, including COSIS, cyclic, and annual inventories, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage a warehouse space of approximately 252,000 square feet, overseeing over 200,000 inventory items valued at over $29 million.
- Ensure adherence to Army Regulations (AR 710-2 and AR 735-5) in all operations.
- Supervise warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and quality control.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to warehouse activities and operations.
- Lead efforts in customer service, handling inquiries and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and efficiency throughout warehouse operations.
- Assist with training and development of staff, ensuring they understand and comply with procedures and regulations.
Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: High school diploma required; completion of online training in GCSS-Army preferred. Must be CAC eligible.
- Experience: Approximately 4 years of experience in supply warehouse operations, with preference for candidates familiar with Military Standard Requisition and Issuing Procedures (MILSTRIP).
- Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues and manage personnel effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Working Conditions
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions, with temperatures exceeding 120°F.
- Work may involve exposure to harsh environmental conditions and potential hazards associated with warehouse operations.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Physical Requirements
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
