As a Construction Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing construction activities that transform contaminated sites into thriving ecosystems while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
As a Construction Supervisor (Construction Specialist III), your key responsibilities will include:
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Ensure that contractors comply with the Worksite HSE Plan, site regulations, and permit-to-work requirements, fostering a culture of safety.
- Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate construction activities, maintaining daily surveillance checks and records to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with project specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee that construction contractors adhere to the latest approved-for-construction (AFC) drawings and specifications, ensuring work meets all quality standards.
- Change Management: Implement proper change control by issuing Field Instructions for changes, reviewing Site Queries, and ensuring accurate responses and resource allocation.
- Material Management: Ensure all construction materials and embedded items are approved for use and are adequately stored and protected for timely access at workface locations.
- Coordination and Communication: Attend contractor progress meetings and promote best practices in working relationships between Worley, customers, and contractors.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- Education: A diploma in Engineering from a recognized technical institute or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a construction team effectively.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
