We are looking for a Document Control Technician to manage our project documentation efficiently. In this role, you will maintain a central document control system, establish procedures, and ensure that all project-related documentation is organized and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Management: Maintain a central document control system covering documentation from the project team, clients, vendors, and third parties.
- Procedures Implementation: Establish and implement efficient document control registers and procedures.
- Filing System Maintenance: Set up and maintain a correspondence filing system.
- Document Review and Approval: Expedite the review and approval process for documentation, including designs, procedures, and product certifications.
- Document Flow Management: Plan, supervise, and track document flow to all necessary parties, including clients and subcontractors.
- Obsolete Document Removal: Remove obsolete documents from circulation and coordinate storage and archiving of project records.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance system relevant to the business unit.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety practices and follow Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) procedures.
- Team Support: Aid the project team with all documentation management activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Degree or equivalent diploma from an accredited institution.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industries, with exposure to heavy oil projects.
- Experience within PMC projects is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of document control processes for large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with advanced engineering tools and data systems.
- Effective communication skills, able to interact with diverse cultures and nationalities.
- Knowledge of contractual terms, commercial contract law, and process engineering requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ability to explain complex processes clearly and mentor junior staff.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
